Boston, MA (PRWEB) May 5, 2008 -- Single Volunteers Boston was recently awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award based on their service at The Greater Boston Food Bank.
Ed Schafer, United States Secretary of Agriculture, presented the award to Single Volunteers Boston on Wednesday, April 30th at the Greater Boston Food Bank. "We are proud to accept this award on behalf of the thousands of volunteers that have given their time in the hope of ending hunger in Greater Boston" says Robert Tamulis, President of Single Volunteers Boston.
